“You’ve gotta dance like there’s nobody watching, Love like you’ll never be hurt, Sing like there’s nobody listening, And live like it’s heaven on earth.” ― William W. Purkey

Miss Kendra began her dance career at five years old at the Forks Market in the very studio where she spends so much of her time now. She was an enthusiastic learner and would sign up for as many classes as her parents were willing to drive her to! Following high school she realized that nothing sounded better than making this her career and she negotiated a partnership with the former owner to open a satellite location in order to try her hand at ownership. This location was home to many Royal Dance dancers that are still at the Forks today. In what was a decision based on her growing family once she gained ownership of the Forks Market location, she amalgamated the studios and rebranded Royal Dance at the Forks four years ago. Miss Kendra has extensive teaching and dance experience in addition to her studio classes. She has worked for Winnipeg School Division as a dance educator, Louis Riel School Division as a choreographer for eleven years, holds her CBTS from the Royal Academy of Dance, danced with Casinos of Winnipeg Tina Turner Experience, has her Barre Fitness Certification and her group fitness certification. She is currently taking Online Marketing and Retail Advertising in order to further her education. Miss Kendra is a passionate teacher and loves feeling the energy in the studio when a class, young or old, are engaged and learning! As a mother to three, she spends every spare moment with her family. They escape to the lake whenever she has a day off and enjoy their country living lifestyle of gardening, playing outside and enjoying nature! Her students will tell you that Miss Kendra makes a huge effort to get to know the kids and teens in her classes. She is mentor to many and is happy to give out advice when asked! Her classes are fun and energetic and she loves to foster the dancers individual creativity.
